Learning Haskell

I decided to learn Haskell because well there was this little awesome guy in the comp sci major who loved his functional programming languages, specifically Clojure, and his love sparked my interest. I went with Haskell because I hear it also has a cool typing system and is pretty strict in abiding by the functional paradigm.

Learning Javascript

The decision to learn Javascript was mostly because I hate being completely ignorant about a topic, and it is also well known among non-programmers as a valuable skill. Further, any new language reveals something you didn't know before and adds to how you think. Plus if I find a way to make this website sparkle (literally) then all the better.

Honor's Project: Edge and Face Detection

In order to graduate with Honors in my major, I had to complete an extra independent study on a topic of my choice. It had to have both a theoretical as well as an implementation. I chose to do edge detection for the first half and then continue onto face detection in the second half.
